Overall production and performance
Mansai Nomura was born in 1966 as the eldest son of Mansaku Nomura. He studied under his grandfather, the late Manzo Nomura VI, and his father, and is designated as a Holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property. He graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts’ Faculty of Music, and is leader of the “Kyogen Gozaru-no-za.” His artistic endeavors cover a broad range. In addition to Kyogen and Noh performances in Japan and abroad, he stars in contemporary dramas and movies, directs works by fully applying his classical techniques, and appears in NHK’s Nihongo de Asobo program. As a Kyogen performer living in the modern age, he explores Kyogen through diverse activities. In 1994, he traveled to the United Kingdom under an artists’ overseas training scheme that is sponsored by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs. He is a winner of the National Arts Festival’s New Artist Award and Excellence Award, Minister of Education New Artist Award for Fine Arts, Asahi Performing Arts Award, and Kinokuniya Theatre Award. Among the books he has authored are Mansai de Gozaru and MANSAI ◎ Kaitai Shinsho (Asahi Shimbun Publications), Kyogen Cyborg (Nikkei Inc.), and Kyogen Sanninsanyo: Nomura Mansai no Maki (Iwanami Shoten, Publishers). He has been an artistic director of the Setagaya Public Theatre since 2002.

Daito Manabe launched Rhizomatiks in 2006. Since 2015, he has served alongside Motoi Ishibashi as a co-director of Rhizomatiks Research, an arm of Rhizomatiks that conducts R&D-intensive projects. He carries out collaborative projects with artists in all genres, fully applying his expertise in programming and interaction design. He also has a strong international reputation, having been selected with the likes of John Maeda and Hans Zimmer as one of eleven key persons by a special website commemorating the 30th anniversary of Apple’s Macintosh computer. He is the recipient of numerous awards, among them the Prix Ars Electronica 2016 Computer Animation/Film/VFX Award of Distinction, and the Entertainment Division Grand Prize and Art Division Grand Prize at the 16th and 18th Japan Media Arts Festivals, respectively.

Yoshihisa Hashimoto joined Sega Corporation after graduating from the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Engineering and then later moved to SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd. After serving as the producer and director of Agni's Philosophy--FINAL FANTASY REALTIME TECH DEMO, technical director of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn (PC), and chief developer and CTO of the Luminous Studio game engine, he went independent by establishing LIBZENT Innovations, Inc. in 2014.
